The Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, chaired a session held by the Cabinet at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday afternoon. At the outset of the session, Prince Salman thanked Allah Almighty for countless blessings being witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which require the adoration of all people, stressing that what has been characterized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of the unity of ranks, security and stability is considered as the culmination of its keenness to implement the teachings of Islam since its unification by late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, (may Allah bestow mercy on his soul). On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and in his own name, Prince Salman expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the leaders of brotherly and friendly countries for their sincere feelings toward the Kingdom on its 82nd anniversary of the National Day and for what has been expressed by citizens in various parts of the country of the manifestations of pride on this dear occasion, praying to Allah Almighty for the Kingdom's continuing security and stability. The Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session that the Cabinet was briefed on a number of reports on latest developments at Arab, regional and international arenas, looking forward that the deliberations of the 67th session of United Nations General Assembly contribute to finding peaceful solutions to various conflicts to achieve world security and stability. Dr. Khoja said that the Cabinet then discussed a number of issues on the domestic arena and issued the following decisions: The Cabinet formed an ad hoc committee to consider Saudization of jobs in the field of operation and maintenance in the governmental sectors. The committee, to be chaired by the Minister of Labor and representatives of the relevant governmental bodies, at the level of undersecretary or his equivalent, will be assigned to carry out the orders, decisions and instructions concerning Saudization of jobs in the field of operation and maintenance and forge a mechanism to nationalize the jobs in this field in the governmental sectors and forward an annual report to the monarch on the achievements it has accomplished and the obstacles it has faced. The Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding between the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the General Inspectorate for Financial Information of the Republic of Poland for cooperation in the field of exchange of financial intelligence regarding money laundering and finance of terrorism which was signed in the city of Yerevan on July 12, 2012. The Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding between the Financial Intelligence Unit of the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Financial Control Department of the Control Commission of the Republic of Belorussia for cooperation in the field of exchange of financial intelligence regarding money laundering and finance of terrorism which was signed in the city of Yerevan on July 12, 2011. The Cabinet approved a general agreement for cooperation between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania which was signed in the city of Riyadh on May 7, 2011. The Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding regarding political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign, International Trade and Cultural Relations of the Republic of Argentina which was signed in the city of Riyadh on May 18, 2011. The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Finance or his deputy to sign a draft agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in the field of avoiding double taxation and preventing tax evasion regarding taxes on income and the attached protocol. The cabinet approved several appointments as follows: 1- Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Khayat is appointed to the post of ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 2- Dr. Sameer bin Jameel Ghazi is appointed to the post of director general of environmental standards (rank 14) at the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment. 3- Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Qahtani is appointed to the post of director general of Asir region branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance (rank 14). 4- Fahd bin Nasser Al-Zaid is appointed to the post of assistant secretary general (rank 14) at the Supreme Council of Magistracy.
