Human Rights Commission Visits Prisons

Saudi Human Rights Commission affirmed that it has visited the prisons of Directorate General of Investigation within the framework of its on-going follow-up of the conditions of prisoners and detainees in all cases.
The Directorate said that the total number of prisoners and detainees in the prisons of the General Directorate of Investigation until yesterday amounted to 3,184 persons, noting that 1,662 persons have been released from 1/2/1433 until 25/8/1433.
It pointed out that 119 persons are currently benefitting from the programs of Prince Mohammed bin Naif Center for Counseling and Rehabilitation and procedures for 216 persons are being completed for referring them to the Center for their rehabilitation and release.
