Nayef: a statesman & a human competency
Published in Alriyadh on 18 - 06 - 2012

The historical man who emerged in a historical security stage, Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz, God's Mercy be upon him, was not only a minister of interior that we lost but a multi-competent statesman who proved his masterful capacity in facing many tough dangers addressed through an insane crime against the security of our homeland. It is not the competent security preservation only that we remember from his memory but creative systems and procedures, too, that did not render security a mere deterring authority or crimes prevention competency. In front of his ideas and multiple work plans; a person feels that he is before a statesman who made the security officer a follow up officer and made the citizen an objection and immunity officer against what the criminals wanted it to be but couldn't.
We always know that the first or most senior security officer seeks chasing the crime for preventing its occurrence but Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz, the distinguished statesman of multi-competencies headed towards keeping the citizen away from solicitation or deception tools as the "Advice System" has never been existed in any state's system. On the contrary' the prevailing practice is that the states punish who commits a mistake or breaks the law through execution or various levels of imprisonment, depending of the level of the crime.
The statesman of distinguished intellect Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz, God's mercy be upon him, addressed the category of young men that Al-Qaeda wanted to seduce through including them as delusion fighters. However, the "Advice" managed to provide them with a competent awareness, depending on the principle of that "concepts deception" should not, alone, be a punishment tool. This happens when there is no conscious response to the advice which led to repeating the law-breaking cases. The various T. V. interviews with him provided me with various questions about his life and duties. I could recognize that it was recognized, in both of the Arab and the foreign T. V. transmissions, that the positive aspects of the security level spread by him, God's mercy be upon him, in his society was much more than acceptable. Thus, he had been an international character that acquired the public respect and appreciation.
Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz, God's mercy be upon him, who was known through his high integrity, had many humanitarian participations, through he preferred not to declare them. He used to provide his charitable efforts to him who needs it without informing anyone about it. Such humanitarian support provided by him had no relation with Ministry of Interior as it was a work of charity that he was providing personally. An example of which is the story of the child Khaled Al-Hweiti that nobody knew about his tough health condition except through "Al-Ikhbaria" T. V. Channel last Thursday, though some newspapers published some articles about this humanitarian case few days later. Just three days before his departure; Prince Nayef ordered to send the child to Europe for treatment at his own expense. Yesterday's afternoon, father of the said child spoke through "Al-Arabia" T. V channel and praised the initiative of the departed man that we lost.
When distinction competencies of a human who is a statesman and a humanitarian man meet at the same time in one person; the result presented to us shall be Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz who represents a stage of distinction in regard to the positive performance of responsibilities and the positive creativity of his humanitarian feelings.
God's mercy be upon him. He was a man who acquired an international respect, as presented in many media, due to his proper conscious preservation of his community security that we have been witnessing through the long years of his presence.
