Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, patronized here yesterday 5th Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Forum 2012 entitled 'Tourism for all, partnership towards sustainable development' organized by Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA). Upon arrival at the venue, Prince Sattam was received by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, SCTA President. In an address at the ceremony, Prince Sattam pointed out that the national tourism is witnessing development and progress in all its programs and activities and playing its roles in the increase of economic revenues in the regions, the provision of job opportunities for citizens, and the linkage of generations along with the country's heritage and history, in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince. Prince Sattam wished the four-day Forum a grand success. In his speech, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, SCTA President praised the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince for its support for national tourism, noting that promising tourism sector will provide at least 1,100,000 job opportunities by 2015. On his part, the Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah said in his speech that the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince seeks to enhance the distinguished position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the world through the creation of a diversified economy with competitive global capabilities of all producing sectors, including tourism in support of targeted sustainable growth.
