Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received here today a group of orphaned children, who are victims of the tsunami disaster in the region of Banda Aceh of the Republic of Indonesia. The children presented during the reception thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his sponsorship of them, great generosity and noble care. They also presented to the King a memorial shield and a painting reflecting appreciation for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Afterwards, this group of children chanted Islamic songs before the King. It is worth mentioning that the Program of the Alliance of the Islamic Cooperation for the Care of Orphans of the Victims of the Tsunami in the Region of Banda Aceh, Indonesia began with a generous initiative by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques by sponsoring two thousand orphans for a period of fifteen years or until the orphan reaches the age of (18) years. Work in this program began in July 2009. So far, the number of orphans in foster care in the total sponsorship contracts reached 5310 orphaned children. The audience was attended by a number of princes and senior officials. They all had lunch at the table of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
