Saudi Minister of Higher Education Patronizes A Graduation Ceremony of 3000 Students on Scholarships in USA

The Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al- Anqari patronized here on Saturday a graduation ceremony of the fourth batch comprising of 3000 students in the United States of America within the framework of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Program for Foreign Scholarship.
The ceremony was attended by Saudi Ambassador to USA Adel Al-Jubeir.
Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Al-Anqari said that the Program began with 5000 students and it now comprises more than 120,000 students studying in 34 countries, noting that the Ministry has been keen on the diversity of countries and the selection of universities and scientific institutions with high academic standards recognized universally, in addition to the selection of scientific and professional disciplines that meet the needs of labor markets in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In a speech via video circuit, U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia James Smith congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud on the graduation of the fourth batch of Saudi students on scholarships in the United States of America, noting that the graduates are among more than 43,500 Saudi students studying now in the United States, adding that more than 5,000 students will join the Program in the sixth batch next year.
On the other hand, Dr. Al-Anqari opened a new building of Saudi Cultural Mission on an area of 9,900 square meters in Fairfax County, Virginia State, in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to USA Adel Al-Jubeir.
Addressing the ceremony Saudi Cultural Attachأ© in the United States, Dr. Mohammed Al-Essa said that the opening of the building coincides with the 60th anniversary of opening of the first Saudi Cultural Office in New York in 1951 to take care of the first batches of scholarship programs in USA
