The official spokesman of the General authority of civil aviation Khalid Bin Abdulla AL Khubairy clarified to "Al Riyadh" that Prince Abdulmajeed Bin Abdel Aziz in the province of Al Ola is ready to start since a year but it's under the authority of Saudi Airways to be started. He also clarified that starting the regional airport of tabuk will be by the end of the current week where multiple of airways were given the permission after the success of the international running system of the internal airports which started last year in Abha, Al quassaim and Prince Abdul Mohsen airports. This program contributed in facilitating traveling for citizens and residents and created multiple traveling options. This came in a call with Khalid Al Khubairy where he clarified to "Al Riyadh" that whenever the airport runs and foreign airways come the civil aviation authority will study and take an action according to what it sees best fitting to that situation. He also said that prince Abdulmajeed Bin Abdel Aziz is considered to be one of the modern aiports that the authority made where modern international standards were taken into account. The cost of the airport is 143 million Riyals, and the airport is designed to accommodate 100 thousand passengers yearly, four flights a day. The total space of the airport is 13.750 million square meters and it is 25 KM southeast of Al Ola province on Al Madina road and 50 KM from Madain Saleh. About running Tabuk Regional Airport Khalid Al Khubairy said that the works on the airport started since around two and a half years costing about 242 million Riyals, accommodating around million and five hundred travelers yearly. The development of halls project includes car rent offices and hotel services and luggage wrapping along with travelers service office that offers ticket-buying services of all international and internal flight airways.
