Medical Evacuation Aircraft have managed, during the first half of 2017, in transporting 1001 medical cases inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This came emanating from the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the supreme commander of Armed Forces and with the support and vision of the Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz within the general strategy for the development of the armed forces. Keeping abreast with that, the Director General of General Department for Medical Services of the Armed Forces, Major General Dr. Suleiman bin Mohammed Al-Malik has inaugurated the modern interactive video channels and the "Defense" and "Medical" channels on board the medical evacuation planes for patients and medical crews, including Wi-Fi services to facilitate the provision of air health services and upgrade the level of service for transported patients. Major General Dr. Suleiman also said that the fleet of Medevac Aircraft has transported 2200 cases in 2016. It is worth mentioning that the General Directorate of Medical Services of the Armed Forces has assigned a unified number (920006657) and electronic mail ([email protected]) to facilitate the coordination and follow-up procedures for those whom medevac orders by planes have been issued in pursuit of communicating with the beneficiaries of such service 24 hours a day so as to achieve the best services for those whose health and emergency cases requiring to be transported via medical evacuation aircraft.
