The Riyadh Police have arrested a gang of expatriate workers which specialized in forging prepaid calling cards. The gang was using a residential apartment in downtown Riyadh to forge these cards. Their modus operandi was to steal calling balances from telecommunication companies and transfer them onto the counterfeited calling cards using modern technology and advanced equipment. They then sold the cards at low prices, a Riyadh Police spokesman said. The police have arrested six suspects and seized 2,650 forged prepaid calling cards, four data readers, six fingerprint readers, and two laptops. The suspects confessed to their crime and the Public Prosecution branch office in Riyadh has been notified to take the necessary action.
