Bosnia and Herzegovina has exempted Saudi nationals holding the European visa, Schengen, from obtaining separate visas to enter the country. Saudis wanting to visit Bosnia may also obtain a visa from the Embassy of Bosnia in Riyadh via its website. Holder of either visa can enter Bosnia through its airports. Saudi diplomatic and private passport holders are also exempted from obtaining a transit visa to pass through Bosnia and Herzegovina. On the question of totally exempting Saudis from visa requirements, the embassy said that this matter was still under study. Bosnia and Herzegovina is an important tourist destination for Saudis, attracting more than 120,000 annually. It is also important to businessmen pursuing hotel and other economic projects in the Bosnian capital of Sarajevo and other areas of the country.
