"Producing or disseminating rumors that are harmful to the public order is a punishable crime, which carries a sentence of five years' imprisonment and a fine of three million riyals," The Public Prosecution warned in a tweet. The Prosecution said the penalties were set forth in Article VI of the Cybercrime Act.
