Makkah Police have arrested a young man, a known drug addict with a criminal record, for stabbing his mother on Eid day in Jeddah. The spokesman for the Makkah Police, Col. Dr. Aati Al-Qurashi, said that ‘911' in Makkah had received information about a young man, in his ‘20s, who had stabbed his mother inside her home. When she ran out to get help from her neighbors, he tried to overrun her with his car. The injured mother was rushed to hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
