The permanent Media Center allocated for media personnel in the southern border kicked off its activities yesterday. The Media Center's inauguration came after the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Alawwad announced the transfer of the Center from its temporary headquarters in a hotel to a permanent headquarters in the region during his visit last Sunday to the southern border of Jazan region accompanied by a number of chief editors and media personnel. For his part, the Media Center's supervisor in the southern border, Abdullah Al-Fifi, said that the Center is equipped to receive local, GCC, Arab and international media personnel.
