The Ministry of the Interior has announced that the Russian government has approved a list of 18 countries whose citizens can enter the Russian Far East Area under a simplified visa system. The Director of Public Relations and Information General Directorate at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Mara'oul said the ministry received a cable from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the approval of the Russian government of a list of 18 countries whose citizens can enter the Russian Far East Area under a simplified system for obtaining "electronic entry" visas for one trip for the purpose of tourism, investment or humanitarian issues including the the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He added that the Ministry of Interior wishes to assure the citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that this system applies only to visitors through the crossing point at the port of Vladivostok, in the far east of Russia, and does not apply to arrivals at the airports of Moscow, St. Petersburg and others areas. The Ministry of Interior called on citizens to adhere to the regulations of the country they wish to travel to.
