Jordan Tuesday condemned a series of terrorist bombings that struck Baghdad in the last two days, which killed and injured dozens of people. According to Petra, Jordanian State Minister for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani said Jordan strongly condemned such criminal acts that target Iraq's security and seek to disrupt its institutions and efforts to fight terrorism, pledging Jordan's solidarity with Iraq in the war against the gangs of killing and destruction. Momani, who is also the government's official spokesperson, stressed the need for collective Arab, Islamic and global efforts to counter terrorism and the forces of darkness that target civilians in the region and the world. The minister offered Jordan's condolences to the government and people of Iraq over the victims of the terrorist bombings and wished the injured speedy recovery. Secretary-General of Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit Secretary-General of Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned today the bombings which took place in Baghdad yesterday, which led to the deaths and wounding of dozens, stressing the Arab League's solidarity with the Iraqi Government and people at this stage of the war to fight terrorism. In a press statement today, Aboul Gheit called on Iraqi leaders to stand united in order to face common challenges and repulse attempts that threatens national unity.
