Doctors at the King Khalid General Hospital in Hafr Al-Batin have succeeded in saving the life of a 51-year-old female patient suffering from acute kidney failure. The woman was admitted to the hospital in a coma, after complaining of shortness of breath, low blood acidity, high levels of body toxins and a sharp drop in blood pressure caused by an overdose of medication prescribed for regulating her blood sugar. The patient, who was kept on artificial ventilation, was diagnosed with acute kidney failure which had affected all her vital organs. She recovered after a month-long intensive treatment.
