The Coalition Forces Command in Support of Legitimacy in Yemen announced on Monday the success by Royal Saudi Navy vessels belonging to the joint coalition forces in finding a number of maritime mines on the Yemeni coast near the port of Midi. The coalition forces command said that the specialized teams conducted an examination of these mines, which were found to be manufactured in primitive ways and methods, and planting them in these places are methods of the coup militias which deliberately deployed them along the Yemeni coast. It also stressed the dangers of these mines, which threaten the safety and movement of international and commercial shipping, relief vessels and assistance to Yemeni cities and governorates, especially as they are floating towards these corridors. The command of the coalition to support the legitimacy in Yemen further said that these mines are considered to be a violation of international laws, as they pose a serious threat to international ships, and a clear threat and an obstruction to strategic navigation lanes.
