The Royal Saudi Navy works to protect the coast of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, participates in providing military support and protection for oil installations on the coast of the Arabian Gulf, works side by side with the rest of Saudi armed forces within the Coalition Command to Support the Legitimacy in Yemen, and secures Bab-el-Mandeb Strait from any hostile breaches to ensure regional and international security. The Royal Saudi Navy forces have participated in the Determination Storm and the Renewal of Hope operations which resulted in cutting supplies off Houthi militias, liberation of a number of Yemeni ports, while the Naval commandos liberated Jabal Al-Doud from Houthi militias and ousted Saleh's forces.
