Japan is attempting to keep the stalled Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade agreement alive by pushing for a new deal without the United States, local media reported today. Tokyo is currently trying to persuade the TPP's other members to continue without the US and is planning a meeting of ministers from the deal's 11 remaining countries in Vietnam. The remaining TPP members are Japan, Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam.
