The Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States participated here today on the launching ceremony of naming the Conference Center of GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh after Prince Saud Al-Faisal with presence of Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, Prince Khaled bin Saud Al-Faisal, Prince Fahd bin Saud Al-Faisal and GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani. At outset of the ceremony following unveiling of the memorial plaque of the Late Prince Saud Al-Faisal's photo, Al-Zayani delivered a speech in which he welcomed the participants in the ceremony, highlighting the efforts exerted by the late Prince Saud Al-Faisal in enhancing the GCC joint action since its establishment on 25th, May, 1981. He added that Prince Saud was knight of the diplomacy and attracted admiration of the leaders of the world, expressing thanks to the GCC foreign ministers for their noble initiative. The GCC ministers of foreign affairs delivered their speech where they highlighted the late Prince Saud Al-Faisal's achievements during his tenure as foreign minister. Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Chairman of King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, the honor guest of ceremony, delivered his speech where he expressed his thanks and appreciation for their GCC foreign ministers on this noble initiative, recalling the noble qualities of humanity, attitudes and courage to Prince Saud Al-Faisal. The GCC foreign ministers and guests of the ceremony watched a film entitled which reviewed the details of the Prince Saud Al Faisal. The audience also witnessed a documentary film entitled "The Knight of Diplomacy" which reviewed the journey of the late Prince Saud Al-Faisal, and the most important achievements of his career. At the end of the ceremony, the GCC foreign ministers and GCC Secretary General presented a commemorative gift on this occasion to Prince Turki Al Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, expressing their thanks and gratitude to him for gracing this ceremony.
