Yemeni President Abdurbo Mansour Hadi called on the United Nations to play its role in the implementation of international resolutions against those who are trying to hinder peace efforts in his country. During a meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the 28th Arab Summit held in Jordan, Hadi praised United Nations positions in support of the Yemeni people's desire for change and the adoption of a comprehensive national dialogue as a peaceful way to achieve the desired change. The Yemeni president stressed, according to the official Yemeni news agency, the need to redouble international organizations efforts to support the Yemeni people in the field of humanitarian relief, stressing in the same context, that the coup militias continue to steal humanitarian aid, food and pharmaceuticals and sell them in the black market to finance its war against the Yemeni people. For his part, Guterres said that the United Nations stands by the Yemeni people to overcome its ordeal and support the efforts of dialogue based on specified references in cooperation with all parties. He expressed his regret over the situation in Yemen due to the consequences of the militia war on the humanitarian situation.
