The International Conference "Intellectual Trends between Freedom of Expression and Sharia Law", which was held in Makkah and organized by the Islamic Fiqh Council of the Muslim World League, concluded its deeds by issuing a closing statement that values the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques speech and consider it as a significant document for the conference. SG of MWL Dr Al Issa In the closing statement of the conference, which lasted for three days, the Islamic Fiqh Council of the Muslim World League was urged to prepare a project about "Sharia laws and regulations in contemporary intellectual trends". This project, which the Council will review and approve in the next meeting, will be considered as a book of rules and regulations for the Islamic organizations around the world. The closing statements called the Muslims around the world to support and encourage the unity of Islam by acting according to the real Islamic values. These real values, which we learned from the Prophet Muhammad, taught us that there are no different kinds of Islam and all Muslims are equals. For that, we should not let any minor differences between us weaken or ruin this whole unity. Islamic Scholars attended the Conference Countering terrorism and combating extremism was one of the most important items confirmed in the closing statements at the concluded deeds of this international conference. Terrorism and extremism were described to be like an infectious disease spreads by ignorance and absence of the true Islamic beliefs which terrorists and extremists individuals and groups exploit to pass their wrapped poisons.
