Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif received here today Saudi ambassador to Pakistan Abdullah bin Marzouq Al-Zahrani on the occasion of the end of his tenure as the Kingdom's ambassador to Pakistan. At the outset of the meeting, the Pakistani Prime Minister hailed fraternal relations binding the two countries, stressing that the two countries stand side by side in all adversities and difficult times. He added that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy very close relations that are marked by commonalities on all issues of mutual interest at regional and international level, stressing Pakistan's keenness to develop and enhance relations in all fields with the Kingdom. "Pakistan appreciates the Kingdom's pioneering role, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in supporting regional and international security and stability," the Pakistani Prime Minister said. He also appreciated great efforts exerted by Al-Zahrani in strengthening the existing cordial and brotherly relationship between the two countries. The Pakistani Prime Minister conveyed his good wishes for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as well as for progress and prosperity of the people of the Kingdom. For his part, the Saudi ambassador to Pakistan stressed that the Saudi leadership is keen to enhance relations with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
