A Saudi who was filmed beating an African with an iron bar while he lay handcuffed in a vehicle has been arrested. A police spokesman said that after viewing the clip that had gone viral on the social media the police initiated an investigation to identify the assailant. The investigation pointed to the Saudi, in his 30s, leading to his arrest. The victim had filed a complaint with the Al-Kharj police saying the man beat him up and filmed the assault because he had asked the attacker's father for his overdue salary. The victim's job was to herd camels. A medical report confirmed that he had suffered fractures and bruises all over his body. The Riyadh police warned everyone against committing such acts, and said that it was a serious crime, going against the teachings of Islam, which calls for compassion towards one and all. The video clip, which angered viewers, showed a bleeding African national lying cuffed on a vehicle bed with the man repeatedly beating him on the head with an iron bar.
