Published in Alriyadh on 07 - 03 - 2017

Coalition forces to support legitimacy in Yemen has given treatment of the injured in Yemen a priority through Renewal of Hope operations, where the coalition focuses on providing full medical support and facilitating the entry of international organizations to be briefed on situations of the injured and contributing to transferring them for treatment outside Yemen.
King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid is considered the most prominent arm in this task, as it allocated 51 projects in health, nutrition, water and environmental sanitation executed in Yemen with an amount of more than $ 208 million benefiting 24.5 million Yemeni citizens in addition to providing medical care and treatment necessary for people inside Yemeni territories.
In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Center has recently transferred a new batch of the injured from Taiz to be treated in Sudan, representing a batch of the injured persons whom the Center sponsors to transfer them to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Jordan and pays all the costs of their travel and treatment.
King Salman Center has signed a number of agreements with private hospitals in Aden and Taiz, including the extension of five contracts to treat the injured Yemenis in Yemen to be financed and followed-up by the center.
These contracts aim at providing full medical care for more than 750 wounded in the provinces of Aden and Taiz according to international medical standards in coordination with High Relief Committee represented by Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population.
The Center also seeks to activate the role of government hospitals in the treatment of the injured and those in need of care inside Yemeni territories by providing all medical services and treatment devices.
The Center has recently sent 11 trucks to the Republic Hospital in Aden carrying 279 items of medical supplies and lotions, and 25 items of medical equipment and supplies for drug stores and pharmacological supplies of Yemeni Ministry of Health in Aden, and six trucks to Mareb Hospital, out of 58 trucks for a number of Yemeni provinces to support health aspects in government hospitals to play their roles in health services topped by treatment of the injured.
King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid gives a special attention to persons wounded by mines planted by coup militias in the liberated areas.
