Since the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud announced its establishment on 24/7/1437H corresponding to 1/5/2016, King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid has provided a number of humanitarian and relief works for the afflicted countries, including 172 projects amounting to $680, 674,206 with 98 partners. King Salman Center has provided assistance to all countries in the world, including 33 countries in four continents. The center has provided many executive programs in the fields of shelter and food security, management and coordination of the camps, education, protection, early recovery programs, health, nutrition, water, environmental sanitation, communication, logistics and humanitarian operations. The center's works reflect keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Kingdom's role in this field where King Salman said in his speech on the occasion of launching the center: "Stemming out of the teachings of our Islamic religion which enshrines the provision of relief and aid to the needy people as well as to the provision of a respectable life that preserves humans' life, dignity and health, in addition to the continuation of the Kingdom's key role and its global mission in the field of humanitarian aids. We announce the establishment and the laying of the cornerstone of this centre which shall be specialized in relief and humanitarian activities. It shall be an international leading centre in providing relief to afflicted communities aiming at alleviating its sufferings and providing a respectable life to its people. We would like to take this opportunity to announce the allocation of SR One Billion for the centre's relief and humanitarian activities, in addition to the allocation of more than One Billion to fulfill relief and humanitarian needs of the brotherly Yemeni people."
