The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud patronized at Al-Yamamah Palace here today the foundation ceremony of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works and inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for the center's permanent headquarters. The ceremony started with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Adviser at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the Center Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah delivered a speech in which he said, ' Many visions and initiatives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques are the slogan of the leadership that does not stop at a line or a limit. We are today celebrating the project reflecting what is enjoyed by this country to be in the forefront of support, giving and human service. It is not a secret that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been in the forefront of the countries of the world in terms of value and volume of aid and positive response to alleviate the sufferings and provide relief to peoples, nations and individuals in line with the principles of our Islamic religion'. He added, 'Your directives to establish an international center for relief and humanitarian works and approval to be named King Salman are a proof of what you attach of great interest to relief and humanitarian works. It is a clear message to the world that this country is the title of peace, concern for human life and dignity and work for alleviating the sufferings and assisting affected peoples and societies. Your allocation of $ 274 million in response to the relief and humanitarian needs of the Yemeni people will have the greatest impact on alleviating the suffering of our brothers in Yemen, and the Center will make all efforts in collaboration with the United Nations to deliver humanitarian aid that will be provided by this amount as soon as possible. He said, 'Unifying the humanitarian and relief works provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through this blessed Center, 'King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works', and giving the Center its independent legal status and freedom asserts your keenness to make this edifice as an unique model to serve humanity. Emanating from this, I and my colleagues working in this center promise you to faithfully, sincerely and diligently work hard to achieve your wise directives, instructions and ambitions as well as to achieve the Center's humanitarian message. To achieve your goals of the comprehensiveness of institutional work, the Center shall exert all possible efforts to cooperate with the international relief organizations and bodies to achieve its noble objectives. In conclusion, I express deep thanks, appreciation and gratitude to your generous patronage and support to this blessed humanitarian Center'. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques touched the electronic screen marking laying the foundation stone for the permanent headquarters of King Center Salman Relief and Humanitarian Works; and the King and the attendees watched a documentary film about the Kingdom's roles in relief works. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques delivered the following speech: In the name of Allah, Praise be to Him and Peace be upon His Messenger Honored Attendees, May Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon you Out of the teachings of our Islamic religion which dictates relieving the forlorn, helping the needy, preserving human life, dignity and well-being, as well as the humanitarian role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its global mission in this field, we hereby declare the establishing and laying of the foundation stone of the Center which will be dedicated for relief and humanitarian work and will be a leading international center to help relieve communities that suffer from disasters and ease their suffering in order that they can live a decent life. To the recently allocated amount of more than one billion Saudi Riyals, we hereby announce the allocation of an additional amount of one billion Saudi Riyals to this Center all of which is in response to the humanitarian and relief needs of the brotherly Yemeni people. Brothers, Our goal and mission will be to work effectively to ensure that this center is based only on humanitarian principles without any other motive and in coordination with internationally approved relief organizations. Out of our care for our brothers in Yemen - and within the framework of Renewal of Hope Operation - the Center will pay the utmost attention and care for the humanitarian and relief needs for the Yemeni people who are dear to our hearts. I ask that Allah may grant us all success and blessings and maintain security and stability for our country and all other Arab and Islamic nations and peace prevails all over the world.
