Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has lifted the ban on the import of all live birds, except amphibious birds. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture for livestock Affairs Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Batshan, explained that the lifting of the ban was based on the requirements of the World Organization for Animal Health, according to certain mechanisms the ministry will issue later. He reported that an import permit could be obtained via Riyadh-based King Khalid International Airport or Jeddah-based King Abdulaziz International Airport.
