The Information Ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States concluded here yesterday 3rd extraordinary meeting at Riyadh Airbase Airport under chairmanship of Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Al-Toraifi with presence of GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani. Following the meeting, a final communiqué stressed depth of relations binding the GCC states and a continuation of coordination and consultation among the GCC states in various fields, particularlry in the field of media. The GCC Ministers of Information stressed importance of this meeting which comes amid rapid regional developments which require the GCC countries to activate the role of media devices and implement joint integrated plans to make the media as a main supporter for political action generally. The final communiqué added that the meeting discussed a number of media issues that support the joint media action among the GCC countries, including deepening and consolidation of GCC identity, strengthening links of the GCC society and promoting security, stability and safety.
