Muslims all over the Kingdom's regions performed today morning Istisqa (Rain-seeking) prayer in pursuit of the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during drought and late rain, praying to Allah Almighty for rain-fall. In Makkah, the prayer was performed at the Grand Holy Mosque and attended by Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region. In Madinah, the prayer was performed at the Prophet's Holy Mosque and attended by Deputy Governor of Madinah region Abdulmohsen bin Mohammed Al-Muneef. In Riyadh, the prayer was performed at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque and attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region. The prayer was led by the Kingdom's Grand Mufti and President of Senior Scholars Council and Scholarly Research and Ifta Presidency Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh. The prayer was also performed in other regions and attended by Governors of Region and senior officials. In their sermons, the preachers urged Muslims on praying to Allah Almighty for repentance and forgiveness; doing good and charitable deeds; and supplicating for rain-fall.
