Chairman of Pakistan Scholars Council Sheikh Tahir Mahmood Al-Ashrafi described the visit to Pakistan by Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as successful and positive, stressing that the visit will have a positive impact on the security and stability of the Islamic nation in the long run. In a statement issued in the city of Lahore this evening, Pakistan Scholars Council lauded the Islamic Military Alliance to combat terrorism, saying that this Islamic alliance, which called for by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is the perfect solution to the crises suffered by the Islamic nation. He welcomed the position of the Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the Pakistani army commander Gen. Rachel Sharif, who confirmed Pakistan's support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in defending its territorial sovereignty, and their support for the Islamic Military Alliance to combat terrorism. Sheikh Al-Ashrafi also welcomed the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that it does not intend to go to war with Iran, calling on Iran to stop conspiracies against the home of the two holy mosques, stop escalation against the Kingdom and interference in the affairs Islamic countries.
