Saudi Arabian Airlines "SAUDIA"'s Director General Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Sudan's minister of local governance Hasan Ismail Sayed, Saudi Charge d'Affaires in Khartoum Yahya Mulah, a number of officials and those interested in the air transport industry in Sudan attended the opening of SAUDIA's new office in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum. Addressing the elite gathering, Al-Jasser noted the strong bonds between the two peoples of the Kingdom and Sudan, further deepened by air transport services. He said two-way flights between Jeddah and Khartoum increased from 20 a week to 24 , effective from the first of January 2016 to reach 28 in September 2016 while two-way flights between Riyadh and Khartoum have increased from 14 to 18 per week, starting from September 2016 using the Boeing new version of B777-200. SAUDIA new office is located the capital's one of the most busiest and finest streets, Obaid Khatim. He said the three-story building lies on an area of 400 sq.m. and equipped with the state-of-the-art devices. SAUDIA's first flight to Sudan was in 1947, flying from Jeddah to Port Sudan on the other side of the Red Sea before shifting to Khartoum in 1970.
