In the presence of the Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense, Chairman of the Economic and Development Affairs' Council and Supervisor of the Saufi-French Joint Standing Coordinating Committee and the Premier of the Republic of France Emmanuel Valls at Al-Yamamah palace here yesterday, four agreements and a letter of intent between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of France were co-signed. An agreement of cooperation between King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and the French Directorate of Construction and Marine Systems to establish Research Center, was signed from the Saudi side by Prince Dr. Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed, President of the city and on the French side by the head of the Directorate Harvey Gaao. Another agreement on cooperation and training between King Fahd Medical City and the Institute Gustave Roussy was signed by the Executive Director General of the King Fahd Medical City Dr. Mahmoud Al-Yamani and the French institute's President Charles Giberat. King Abdullah Atomic and Renewable Energy and the French Energy City drafted a letter of intent in the field of renewable energy, co-signed by Deputy Head of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy City Dr. Walid Abu Faraj and on the French side by the President of EDF Jean Bernad Levy and the President of Areva company Philip Paran. An agreement to establish a factory for the production of blood plasma in the Kingdom, was signed on the Saudi side by the Secretary General of the Public Investment Fund Abdulrahman Al-Mufdhi, and on French side Director-General of the French Christian Pichon Labs. The signing ceremony was attended by Minister of Water and Electricity; Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabee'a, Minister of Commerce and Industry; Abdullah Al-Moqbel, Minister of Transport; Dr. Adel Altoraifi, Minister of Culture and Information; Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Khalid Al-Faleh, Minister of Health; Majed Al-Hoqail, Minister of Housing; Dr. Hashim Yamani, President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy; Sulaiman Al-Hamdan, President of Civil Aviation Authority; and Dr. Mohammed Al-Mishaal, Executive President of the Food and Drugs Authority. The official delegation of visiting French Prime Minister also attended the event.
