The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi launched last night a new information service, represented in launching the broadcast of Radio and Television Hajj 1436AH for speakers of the Persian language. The Minister stressed that the Radio and Television Hajj 1436AH is dedicated to broadcast events, Hajj rituals, and the movements of pilgrims in Makkah, the holy sites and Madinah aiming to highlight the eternal message of Hajj and the great meanings of Islam and to present documentary programs about what is being provided by the Kingdom's leadership and its people in the service of the Two Holy Mosques, pilgrims, visitors, and Umrah performers. He pointed out that the television transmission will be on four satellites including Arabsat, Nilesat, Yahsat and Hotbird to reach about 130 million speakers of the Persian language in the world. The channel will also broadcast on FM waves in Makkah and the holy sites and on shortwaves to the world. The Minister of Culture and Information explained that the channel will broadcast 24 hours a day from Makkah through media and production team consisting of more than 80 media personnel. It is noteworthy that the frequencies of Radio and Television Hajj 1436AH for speakers of the Persian language will be as follows: Hotbird: 1238013 - b Vertical - 3/4. Arabsat: 12149 horizontal 5/6. Nilesat: 11766 horizontal 5/6. Radio: MHZ 92.2 FM.
