Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association concluded yesterday its participation in the Gulf Jamboree Advanced Scout Camp organized by the Directorate-General for Scouts and Guides in the Sultanate of Oman in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States under the slogan 'Scout and sustainable development', in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education and Curricula in the Sultanate Dr. Hamoud bin Khalfan Al-Harthy and Director General of the Directorate-General for Scouts and Guides in the Sultanate of Oman Khamis bin Salim Rasbi, in scout plain Mount Ashour in Dhofar governorate. Al-Harthy delivered during the ceremony a speech in which he stressed the importance of the camp to instill values and trends and gain experience, pointing out that the camps are an opportunity to promote the values and the concepts and principles of the Scout Movement, and the environment for the development of friendships and increasing communication between the Scouts in the GCC countries. For his part, the camp commander Mohammed Fail Raidan delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of the camp in the acquisition of skills and expertise and strengthen friendships, noting that the camp achieved its objectives, and the most important document is the bonds of friendship between the youth in the countries of the Cooperation Council (GCC), and taking advantage of relevant volunteers institutions in activating the activities and programs of the scouting movement and development and promotion of contacts and relations with those institutions and integrating them in effective partnerships to serve the objectives and develop and strengthen the skills and abilities of youth and employment so as to contribute their energies in the service and development of the societies.
