The U.S. Administration said Tuesday that it is in support of the Saudi-led Determination Storm operation to restore legitimacy and stability in the Republic of Yemen, noting that the way forth should lead to political dialogue. In her daily briefing, the spokesperson of the State Department, Marie Harf said 'the prescribed strategy basically supports the coalition against the Houthi militias with the aim to expedite returning to political dialogue'. She confirmed that President Abdrabbo Mansour Hadi is still the legitimate President of Yemen. 'We support the coalition led by the Kingdom in several ways in their endeavor to repulse the military aggressive act of the Houthi rebels', she said. In response to a question whether the United States would send more weapons to the collation against Houthi rebellions, she said 'our policy is still to provide logistical and intelligence assistance'. On the Iranian intervention and support for Houthi militias with weapons, the spokesperson confirmed that the Iranian support for the Houthi militias with weapons is still continuing and not stopped'.
