Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom stressed that the Determination Storm Campaign aims to protect the people of Yemen, defend the Yemeni legitimate government, and renege Iranian political role and influence in the Arab world. In an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation 'BBC'' yesterday, the Saudi Ambassador said, ' Iran is unfortunately behaving in a manner that does not really help the stability in the region. In the situation in Yemen, we have proof and information to prove Iran's involvement in supporting the Houthis in more than one form in light of confirmation that the Houthi organization is incapable of mounting such a military campaign without an outside direct support and this is why we have to move and we have to defend our interests''. In reply to a question about the Kingdom's efforts made for the dialogue with former President Ali Abdullah Saleh and the Houthis to stop the conflict, Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz Al Saud said, 'Certainly there are many efforts made by the Kingdom's leadership and they are still continuing; but the Determination Storm Campaign will not stop until conditions are right and the legitimate government is back. We never had a position against the Houthis. When we supported Yemen, we supported the people of Yemen regardless of their sect and this is the policy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and this policy will continue'. Replying to a question on how the Kingdom sees the future of Yemen, the Saudi Ambassador said, 'The clock will not go back, what has been done is done, and we would like as I said earlier to see a stable and prosperous Yemen in light of reneging Iranian political role and influence in Yemen, in particular and the Arab world in general. I think Iran has to behave according to the best interests of the region to maintain the stability of the Middle East'.
