An Airbus plane operated by Germanwings crashed on Tuesday over southern France and it was likely that none of the 148 people on board survived, dpa cited German air traffic authorities and French officials as saying. The A320 plane was carrying 142 passengers and six crew members when it went down over the French Alps as it made its way from Barcelona to the German city of Dusseldorf, French media reported. French President Francois Hollande said in televised remarks that it was likely that no one survived.
