The Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi has issued a decision on the approval of a loan agreement for Al-Shabab Electricity Plant Expansion Project to generate (1500) megawatts between the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), at a cost of SR 225 million ($ 60 million), which was signed in Cairo on November 01, 2014. President Al-Sisi also issued a decision on the approval of a loan agreement for West Damietta Electricity Plant Expansion Project to generate (750) megawatts between the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the SDF, at a cost of SR 150 million ($ 40 million), which was signed in Cairo on November 01, 2014. The two projects aim to contribute to meeting the growing demand for electricity in Egypt.
