To put things simply, I want to know what the American administration has to do with the Egyptian domestic politics. Who gave them the right to say we want this or that? I can safely say that none of them is a good individual and none of them wants what is best for us. In commenting on the intervention of the Egyptian armed forces to end the crisis, President Barack Obama said that only the people of Egypt can ultimately determine the future of the country. "Nevertheless," he said, "we are deeply concerned by the decision of the Egyptian Armed Forces to oust [President Morsi] and suspend the Egyptian constitution." Did the concerned president see the millions of Egyptians in the Tahrir Square and the governorates congratulating each other on the evening of this historic decision? What is causing the American administration to be worried now, when it failed to express its concern when the Muslim Brotherhood's rule was moving from one failure to another and placing the majority of the Egyptians on the brink of hunger? The answer to this question is to be found in the president's statement since he said that he ordered the concerned government agencies to look into the reflections of the Egyptian military decision. What the president is saying is that the United States makes yearly military and economic donations to Egypt; but what he fails to say is that this aid is actually for Israel rather than for Egypt. The one and only condition for this aid is that Egypt must maintain the peace treaty with Israel. Six million occupiers live in Israel, which receives double the amount of aid than Egypt does, although the numbers of Egyptian citizens amount to fifteen times those of Israel. Every day, the American administration makes statements saying what it wishes to see in Libya, Syria, Iraq, and every Arab country. I wonder: Have the Arabs appointed the American administration to run our affairs? The USA was not a colonizing country in our lands and we never had any differences. On the contrary, we were grateful for the American position vis-à-vis Egypt during the 1956 aggression and the aid offered through the "fourth point" to the Arab countries that gained their independence. Then, the Israel gang seized control of the American foreign politics and the successive American administrations became partners in the occupation, the killings, and the destruction by providing Israel with weapons and money and by protecting it with vetoes at the Security Council. The real Barack Obama is the one who made the 2009 speech at the University of Cairo. However, President Obama is limited by the Congress and the House of Representatives, which is fully controlled by the Israeli lobby. Obama is unable to take any moderate decisions concerning our countries because he is prevented from doing so by the evil gang of the neo-conservatives who provided fake evidence to launch wars against the Arabs and the Muslims, and who are still working on launching additional wars. After leaving Libya exposed to terrorism, and after handing Iraq to the allies of Iran, Syria's turn came for complete destruction. Iran might be next, not to mention the continued killings in Afghanistan and sometimes also in Pakistan. This is the America of the neo-conservatives and the Israeli lobby. If such a well-intentioned president like Barack Obama is totally incapacitated, then we should not expect a better performance from any other presidents. They are all like Lyndon Johnson and his mistress, Mathilde Krim. The dismay over the American politics in Egypt was reflected on the Ambassador, Mrs. Ann Paterson. The Egyptian opposition is accusing her of supporting the regime while the supporters of the regime are accusing her of conducting secret talks with the opposition. The conflicting accusations are a proof of her innocence from the claims of "conspiracy." I believe that she is a professional diplomat serving the interests of her country. Hopefully, a day will come where we will all be working to serve our countries' interests and we will no longer need all this restricted and useless aid. [email protected]
