If President Obama wants to win a second term in the White House next year, he must stop trying to appease the war cabal in the previous administration and its partners in crimes, be they in the Congress or the media. He must instead address the Americans candidly and say that he is attempting to repair the damages caused by the previous Republican administration, and that the Republican Party is thwarting his efforts in order to deflect blame and accuse him of being of what they had themselves perpetrated. The deal over raising the debt ceiling was reached in the 11th hour in order to avoid a default. However, the cabal continues to work every day against the president, nay against the American people, and it will not stop. I feel embarrassed. A journalist from the Third World is suggesting to the U.S. President what he should do, even though he is extremely intelligent and is surrounded by hundreds of advisers, each a proven expert in his or her respective field. Nevertheless, I try. Obama is seeking to win over the war cabal and the extremists around it, but I think he will fail. The ulterior motives of these people, mostly involving oil and Israel interest, are ever present. I will not return today to questions about his birthplace, and whether he is an American or a closeted Muslim. Instead, I will quote an article entitled “Battleground America: The Presidential Wars”, which claimed that Obama has a ‘neo-Marxist agenda', and said that Obama is “not a stable personality. He is a classic narcissist, thin-skinned, [and is] incapable of making clear decisions”. Such claims, mind you, are being made by the same people who endorsed the cowardly deserter George W. Bush, or the idiot who would barely open his mouth before putting his foot in it, and the man whose presidency was effectively controlled by the advocates of an American empire and the Likudniks who owe their allegiance to Israel, and who almost brought their country to absolute military and economic ruin. Barack Obama is trying to address the situation in his country. However, I do not see him trying to change it. The War on Terror has ended in name, but has otherwise carried on in every country. I shall not ask how many civilians have the pilotless drones killed so far. Instead I want to say that the Obama administration is discreetly implementing what George W. Bush once said at a joint session of Congress, that “our war on terror begins with al-Qaeda, but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group […] has been found, stopped, and defeated.” I condemn terrorism categorically, and find no justification or excuse for it whatsoever. However, the Bush administration did not ask about the cause of the terrorism perpetrated against America before any other country, and did not attempt to link it to its support of the fascist occupation state, i.e. supporting six million thieves against 300 million Arabs and 1.5 billion Muslims… Nor did the Obama administration do that. While I acknowledge that Barack Obama has put an end to the torture of detainees and prisoners and to the rendition of suspects to their home countries for interrogation and torture, he has never sought to prosecute those who broke the law in a country that is a pioneer in the field of human rights. Instead, President Obama pursued the policy of ‘looking forward, not backward.' This encouraged the war cabal to continue to aggressively plan for more crimes around the world, instead of taking a defensive position with regard to its dark track record. Today, I find that the Department of Homeland Security is here to stay, and the same applies to the Patriot Act, and the wiretapping of American citizens' phones in violation of the law. This is while Bush's wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are still ongoing (and the War on Terror again). We do not know when the U.S. troops will or will not withdraw. We even find ourselves today facing a U.S. confrontation with Pakistan, which would have deadly implications. It is also a childish confrontation: The U.S. is surprised that even though it gives massive aid to Pakistan, the Pakistanis do not like America, and some in their military even sympathize with the Taliban and al-Qaeda…in other words, the United States wants the Pakistanis to shed their skin and religion for a handful of dollars. How can President Obama, who first came into national fame in the U.S. because of his opposition to the invasion of Iraq, justify the continuation of Bush's wars after he succeeded him in the White House? This is not to mention the sheer size of the Department of Defense budget, the thousands of military bases abroad, and the one million victims or more, nearly all Muslim? A few days ago, I read a well-documented report published in the U.S., sponsored by the Eisenhower Institute, which puts a lot of what we already know on the record. Nevertheless, I add for the benefit of the readers two additional facts here, which is that the DoD in the U.S. consumes 4.5 billion gallons of fuel each year, and that the air strikes in Afghanistan have forced 85 percent of migratory birds to avoid flying over the country. It is not acceptable for Barack Obama to remain complacent about claims that America with him is effectively under a third Bush term. While I trust the intentions of President Obama, I am skeptical about his abilities. With all due respect, he must go over the debt ceiling battle and understand that the war cabal wants his head, even if this spells ruin for America in the course of this quest. For this reason, I urge him to declare war against this cabal, to protect both himself and his country. [email protected]
