After 30 years of continuous involvement in the dialogue between Islam and the West, and after my scientific or secular study of monotheistic religions in Western universities, I reached the conclusion that the Jewish people are better than their religion, while Christianity is better than the Christians and Islam better than Muslims. The Jewish religion is barbaric, and the Torah contains war crimes and genocides that include the slaughter of children and cattle, with prostitutes and myths that defy logic and reason. The Torah also contains stoning, burning and racism, while the Talmud is even worse than the Torah. However, the Jews today observe nothing of their scriptures, with the exception of the fascist government in Israel and the Israeli settlers. The majority of the world Jewry is liberal, and Jewish peace advocates are amongst the best and most active in the world, even if they are few in numbers. In short, the Jews do not observe Jewish scriptures. By contrast, Christianity is a religion of peace in a manner that borders on impracticality. Christians need to be saints to observe Christian scriptures, as they learn that they must turn their left cheek to those who strike them on their right one, and read commandments such as: Love your enemies, and bless those who curse you. However, this religion of peace begot the Crusades and the old-new colonialism. The Christian West also persecuted the Jews over centuries culminating with the Holocaust, and caused two world wars that killed millions of people. The Christian West also invaded many countries around the world to steal their resources, and continues to do so, most recently with the invasion of Iraq and the murder of one million Arabs and Muslims for oil-related and Israeli considerations. In other words, the religion of peace is responsible for the majority of wars and the ensuing crimes in the last one thousand years. Islam, meanwhile, is a moderate religion that is free from the brutality of Judaism, while not reaching the peacefulness of Christianity or the pacifism of its scriptures. Islam is both worldly and spiritual, and could be observed without much hassle to those who profess it. But then we find that many Muslims become zealots, and all but close the doors to God's mercy, even though ‘God does not forgive the association of partners with Him, but He forgives [sins] less than that to whomever He wishes'. These Muslims become fanatics, extremists and murderers, and facilitate the task of their enemies. We thus saw Taliban and al-Qaeda and all the terrorist groups murder Muslims in the capitals of Muslim countries in the name of Islam, although Islam is innocent of this misguided faction, as we saw the majority of believers fail to stand up to the extremists and expose the error of their beliefs and their incompatibility nay contradiction with true Islam. I write while being aware of the sensitivity of delving into religious issues. I could have chosen an uncontroversial and pain-free topic, but then I read day after day campaigns being waged by the enemies of Islam and Muslims in Israel, and the Likudniks in the United States and elsewhere, while no one seems to be responding to them. Hence, I decided to do the duty of the several Islamic organizations around the world in this regard, which is what I am doing today. It is during the days of my political awareness and professional career that the phrase ‘Judeo-Christian Heritage' crept into the English lexicon, especially in the United States, although the original phrase was ‘Christian Heritage'. In fact, the Jews did not have any role in American independence, and what is more, there were those among the Founding Fathers who attacked them and demanded that Jews be prevented from ‘contaminating' the newly established state. This alleged heritage was the subject of a Likudnik article entitled “Onward Christian Warriors', a play on a known Christian hymn called “Onward Christian Soldiers”. The hymn talks about Christians as being soldiers of Christ in renouncing violence, and helping people, and the Salvation Army, a charity opposed to all wars, chose it as its main processional hymn. This notwithstanding, the Likudniks chose to use this hymn as a way to incite Christians to confront Islam and Muslims, and they quoted one another as saying things to this effect…In other words, an impostor quoted a fraud quoting an extremist who quoted a racist. Perhaps I would not have written this article, were it not for the fact that the new Likudnik campaign to push the Christians to be killed in Israel's wars against Arabs and Muslims, also contained an attack on American write whose only fault was to say that the Judeo-Christian god is an equivalent to Allah and that Muslims actually believe in and revere Jesus Christ. The Likudniks refused this statement although the verse of the Quran, which is undisputable, elevates Mary and Jesus to a much higher rank that theirs in the New Testament, i.e. the holy book of Christianity. For myself, I say that the God of Christians and Muslims is one and the same, but he is different from the Jewish God. The first does not favor one people over another, and is forgiving and merciful, while the second murders men, women, children and donkeys, but orders that gold, silver and iron be kept, or in other words, he is a war criminal and a mineral dealer. More importantly, Muslims must be vigilant to the ongoing incitement against their faith, and the attempt of pro-Israeli extremists to instill hatred between Christians and Muslims in the service of the only remaining occupation and apartheid state in the world.
