Prince Salman Ibn Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Province, received here today Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al-Anqari and his accompanying delegation on the occasion of signing an agreement between King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives and the Umm Al-Qura University for the establishment of Prince Salman Chair for Studies of History of Makkah at the University. The delegation included the Foundation's Secretary General for Research and Archives Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Sammari; President of Umm Al-Qura University Dr. Bakri Matouk Assas; the University's Vice President for Businesses and Knowledge Innovation Dr. Nabil bin Abdulqadir Koushak; and Sheikh Dr. Saud bin Ibrahim Al-Shuraim, Dean of the University's Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies and Imam and Preacher of the Holy Mosque in Makkah. During the meeting, they discussed a number of topics of interest to higher education in general, and Umm al-Qura University in particular. Prince Salman, who is also Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Directors, patronized the signing ceremony of the agreement by Dr. Al-Sammari and Dr. Assas who expressed their thanks to the Prince for supporting the launch of this scientific chair and its research purposes.
