Egypt's Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Dr. Husham Gindeel said his country supports the join of South Sudan of the Water Ministers Council of the Nile Basin Countries to become the 11th member of the Nile Basin Countries which they meet in Kigali, Rwanda, on July 5, 2012. In a press statement, the Egyptian minister said on the fringes of African Week held in Cairo that South Sudan's Minister of Water Resources Pall Mayoum confirmed to him that his country would not sign Entippi Framework Agreement for Nile Water which was signed by six upstream countries unless all countries sign and guarantee not to harm any of the Nile Basin countries, particularly the downstream countries of Egypt and Sudan.
