The Ministers of Finance and Economy of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States started here today the 93rd meeting of the Committee of Financial and Economic Cooperation. The meeting was chaired by Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf in the presence of GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdul-Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani. In his speech, Dr. Al- Assaf stressed the importance of the meeting which comes within the framework of confronting current and future challenges facing the GCC countries and their economies which require that the GCC states work side by side to confront and overcome them. He commended the historical initiative launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to transfer GCC countries from cooperation to a union stage.
