South Africa's iconic World Cup stadium in Cape Town won't host matches at next year's African Cup of Nations, while the 90,000-plus Soccer City will stage only the opening game and the final, according to AP. Cape Town was left off the list of five host cities, pushing the multimillion dollar Cape Town Stadium further into trouble as an expensive and rarely used arena. Johannesburg's Soccer City, now known as FNB Stadium and the venue for the 2010 World Cup final, will only open and close Africa's football championship. South Africa's troubled bidding process ended when the country's sports minister announced the host cities on Friday after several delays. World Cup cities Nelspruit, Rustenburg, Port Elizabeth and Durban will host the bulk of the African Cup games.
