Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi, Secretary General of the Arab League (AL), stressed that the relations binding the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Egypt in all fields and what have been expressed by the political leaderships of the two countries will help to bypass what has happened between them, describing the relations between the two countries as a cornerstone of the joint Arab action. In a statement issued today, Al-Arabi said that he made telephone calls to Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mohammed Kamel Amro, Egyptian Minister of Foreign affairs, to follow the on-going developments which marred the relations between the two countries. He expressed confidence of the two countries' wisdom to overcome this event in view of the historical and strategic relations between the two countries.
