Officials said a roadside bomb has killed an Iraqi army officer on the outskirts of Baghdad, according to AP. The officials said the bomb exploded Sunday afternoon as an army patrol was passing through the predominantly Sunni suburb of Abu Ghraib, west of the capital. A medic at a nearby hospital said six other people, including four soldiers, were wounded in the blast. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media.
