Saudi Ambassador Leaves Cairo

Saudi Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Kingdom's Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ahmed Qattan left Cairo today for Saudi Arabia after he was recalled for consultations.
The government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided yesterday to recall Ambassador Qattan from Cairo for consultations, and close its embassy and consulates in Alexandria and Suez due to unjustified protests and demonstrations that took place in front of the Kingdom's missions in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and attempts to storm them and threaten the security and safety of their Saudi and Egyptian employees.
