The Saudi-South African Joint Committee began today at the Conference Palace here a two-day meeting to discuss ways to strengthen economic and trade relations between the two countries. The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is led by Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah while the South African side is headed by Trade and Industry Minister, Dr. Robert Davis. They are joined by their official delegations. On behalf of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Al-Rabiah welcomed the visiting guest and his accompanying delegation, stressing the importance of continual meetings of the Joint committee alternately between the two countries in order to contribute to increasing the volume and quality of the existing trade and discuss new prospects for expanding and strengthening it in several areas. Dr. Al-Rabiah believed that the political relations between the two countries and relations of respect and friendship between the leaderships of the two countries will contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation in fields of economy, trade and investment for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries. --MORE
